Bach's Two Part Keyboard Inventions arranged for the solo
classical guitarist. The player will find these
arrangements to fit nicely into the hands, while remaining
true to the nature of the music, given the obvious
compromise in range regarding keyboard to guitar.
Each of
the 15 pieces are
laid out in a commonsensical 2 page manner where page turns per
piece are not a consideration.
Here I
need to make some points that are important to me.
First
and foremost, my original book, released in 2002, was the first of
its kind for the classical guitarist. I have seen descriptions
of "other" inferior books that have subsequently come out saying
that the 15 Two Part Inventions are Fugues? They are not
completely fugal in nature, but that is a longer discussion, one I
am happy to continue at a later time, when I actually have time to
write a small treatise on the subject matter. Suffice to say
that only an ignorant publisher would allow such misinformation to
be spread.
Quite
frankly, I have seen these other books, having a good laugh on one
side, but, on the other side, feeling that these other publishers
felt compelled to "compete" with a superior book, with the end
result of releasing inferior publications that have wasted the time
and money of good people. That is never anything to smile
about.
