The best Music Notation Software on the Market

Easy to use, Fast Gorgeous Scores are yours for the Building

and it costs 50% less than Finale

Encore Version 5.02 is out for Windows, Version 5.05 for Macs as of March 2010

Encore sets the standard in professional and affordable music notation. Its powerful transcribing and editing capabilities help musicians of all levels get their ideas into print. Fast, accurate, and easy to use, Encore allows you to create beautiful printouts of your scores - using up to 64 separate staves. Whether you're creating classical guitar transcriptions, motion picture scores, orchestral arrangements, choir songbooks, or teaching music in school, Encore is simply second to none.

There are 2 versions, btw....One for Windows Platform machines....another for Mac Platform machines.  The cool thing is that music files are transferable from one platform to the other.  See specs below for further information on operating systems and requirements.

Examples from some of my classical guitar books.  I use Encore exclusively in the building of all my transcriptions and books for solo and duet classical guitar.

Assorted fonts and font sizes can be used in all of the text areas you see above.  It's intuitive interface allows you to use your mouse for easy placement of toolbar utilities, or, as I prefer to do, I use shortcut keys that allow me to build a page of music in less time than you would believe possible.  Cleanup, polish, edit and it's ready for print.  Now if I could only create the actual music so easily, I'd be just fine!

Here's an example from Bach's Violin Concerto in E Major written for Guitar and Bass/Cello.

Very sweet.  Bear in mind that these are .jpg representations of the music at a severely limited resolution.  I print at a 600 DPI resolution and it looks awesome.  If you need further convincing of this powerful tool and the beauty of its output, please check any of the available PDF files on my Samples page.  Every single score is done with Encore.  I shoot the scores to a virtual PDF printer, as in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro and there you have it.

I used to use Finale, Sibelius, and a few other mainstream packages.  They're good...but they can be expensive.  Finale, at last check, costs $600.00???   Whatever...it's your money.  Bottom line is ...Encore's where it's at.  Once you start outputting music with this software....well, did you ever say, "Wow, that was the best money I ever spent"?  You'll say that once the music you wrote pours out of your laser jet.  I'm still amazed out how great the books look.  Take a look at my feedback via eBay regarding the books I've sold if you think I'm pulling your leg.  Heck, I don't write those things!!!

Here's something from the Book of Bach's Inventions for Solo Classical Guitar.

Dynamics, expressions, ornamentation, advanced musical notation, full orchestral scoring, the ability to do 8 string TAB staves in any tuning on guitar, you name it, it's all at your fingertips!

Here's a PDF of a 3 Part Invention  that you can print out and look at.  Resolution is at 600 DPI

All formatting, page numbers, copyrights, indexing, etc was done directly thru Encore.

Okay, enough.  The specifications of the software package are listed below after our Pricing lists.

BTW, Encore retails out of the store for $399.00 or more.  You can get it through us for $349.99 including shipping.  Only to Canada and the U.S.A. PLEASE!!!

We will NOT ship this product anywhere but to USA or Canadian destinations!  All other orders will be cancelled and refunded.  If you require International shipping, please Contact Me at sales@savageclassical.com.  We will happily get back to you with a business order detailing costs and shipping.   You will be responsible for any customs charges associated with your order from us or GVOX.

Shipping is within 2-3 business days from your order.  Please allow additional and sufficient time for your software to be delivered.

The best money you'll ever spend if you're a writing musician.

Good luck and be well....Richard F. Sayage

  • Please note that all of our product shipments will have Delivery Confirmation.
  • All sales are final on all of our Products.
  • Gvox.com, the supporting website for Encore products, will gladly and easily support your software purchase, from technical issues to software issues.  I use the product on myriad platforms, including WinXP Pro, WinVista and Win7, of late.  I have had no issues with the software whatsoever.  You should anticipate zero problems, so no worries AND their support site is fantastically responsive.  They're really great people.
