Comments
Kenny and his staff know how
to build a guitar. No doubt about it. A single session with
this guitar impresses upon you how much Kenny cares about building a
master class instrument. A typical German characteristic, bright
and clear, which is coupled with a balance and then a warmth that is
almost at odds with what you might initially expect from the instrument.
Additionally, the guitar is set up so perfectly, it plays like hot
butter, offering little resistance to your most difficult passages.
The Brazilian Rosewood is absolutely gorgeous. The Spruce is
beautiful, as
tight as I've seen, straight grained. The sound is remarkably
clear and vibrant.
So, today, October 13, I
decided to warm up a bit and play this guitar, ready to record her.
Within 2 minutes , I was shaking my head in wonderment. Smooth,
mellow, bright, growling, deep, bells in the top, sultry, stupid
gorgeous, I was floored. I kept playing, unknowingly, for an hour,
just going thru some Bach and Weiss and listening to the beautiful
sounds coming forth from my less than practiced hands. Holy
Hauser, Batman! :-) I kid you not. This baby is
unbelievable. I will record tonight or tomorrow morning.
The guitar is one of very few
that is not discounted on my site. The Brazilian commands a
very large premium, as well as the overall beauty of the instrument in
every regard, besides the fact that Kenny held this guitar in very high
esteem, and rightly so. This is one I would keep for myself.
There will be no discount, so please do not ask. I don't like to
say no to my customers. Thank you in advance for your
understanding. Rich
