In 1988, working as a carpenter, his passion for music inspired him to construct his first guitar. Beforehand he had made the decision to dedicate himself to carpentry and he learned from the masters, Pierre Anastasio, Jean Pierre Fabino and Maurice Dupont. After having acquired knowledge about all the different types of guitar, his interest was concentrated in the world of the spanish guitar. In 1995 with the idea of deepening his understanding of the spanish guitar he moved to Barcelona, where he partnered with .  In our workshop, we share a reference with: La Escuela Madrileña (The Madrid school) of Manuel Ramirez. Many great masters have come from his workshop such as Santos Hernandez and Domingo Esteso. We have had the good fortune to be able to study their guitars and we are extremely attracted, more than anything, to the unique sound they produce.  It seems to us that the characteristics of their guitars consist of an extraordinary sensibility that allows for a dynamic interpretation and, also, a sound and tone that connects with the artist as with the audience.  Another outstanding characteristic is the weight, going back for many years. Since Torres and going as far back to the masters of the first half of the twentieth century, who made very light instruments, around 20% lighter than other guitars. This guitar evidences the above characteristics in spades.  Meticulous in construct, she is clear sounding, with beautiful voicing throughout the range of the fret board.  A growl in the first position, especially the G string, she starts to sing as we move up the board.  Easy to play, easy to listen to, easy on the eyes.  Jean is building a very light and unique instrument with all the traditional characteristics blended perfectly to the delight of the performer.  The owner of this instrument took exceptional care of her.  She is in excellent condition.  Some will ask, "why is he selling it"?  He just received his new Gregory Byers.  Last I knew, they ain't cheap baby  LOL
