This is Lubos with the top of his radial braced Hauser inspired by his friend, Olivier Fanton d'Andon

Lubos hails from Northern New Jersey, originally from Czechoslovakia

He is a master luthier of incredible talent and feeling while being a master of the art of tapping.  A long tour of his workshop in mid-October of 2009 showed me a few things about the man and his work ethic.  First, this is all he does, clearly to the point of obsession.   He frets over the slightest details, even final polishing, meticulous in his every method.  My surprise came when he began bringing out his "other" instruments.  Here I'm talking about mandolins, arch-top guitars  parlor guitars and heck, he even brought out a gorgeous banjo that he built in and around 2007.  Pretty doesn't even begin to describe these gorgeous instruments.  Resonant, beyond beautiful, easy to play, I was floored by the progression of instruments he started to line up for me.  I'm looking at him as he does so, and mind you, I'm already surrounded by 5 gorgeous classical guitars that are completed, and now I have another 7 or 8 finished and ready to go mandolins, banjos, and arch-tops, one more beautiful than the next.  I asked him what he does for down time and he looked at me with a blank stare for a moment and then flatly said, "I build these".  I laughed so hard my jaw hurt.

Now dedicated to the art of the classical guitar, he will only make "other" instruments on special order, but here I'm making available the various "other" instruments he already has, so that you can directly contact Lubos himself and purchase one of these beauties.  It's worth the trip to his workshop just to see everything.  Stay tuned for further updates, pictures and specifications, which will be updated to this page or a connected one.

From Lubos:  I aspire to build the guitar that the player dreams of, while inspiring them to play their absolute best, allowing them to hear what they have never heard before.

Bottom line....The man makes some seriously nice guitars!

Starting to build and repair guitars

and a whole range of stringed instrument starting back in 1983,

through the benefit of apprenticeships in Kladno, Czech Republic,

renowned for its rich and long standing tradition of musical instrument building,

Lubos will now be making 2 lines of classical guitar from here forward

The first will be an affordable Conservatory Concert Model based on a

Hauser '37 with traditional or Rodriguez bracings

At a price range of about $4500 - $6500 with case

~~

The second will be his own Original Master Concert Model

Utilizing his latest developments in Bracings,

which are very loud and over the top sweet sounding.

Their price range will be $6,000 to $15,000 dependent upon woods and case offered
