Finally, a place for guitarists to get their Classical and Acoustic Guitars repaired and setup on Long Island

1. Setup (includes any or all of the following as required)

   1. Nut adjustment

      1. Height – depth of slots, nut itself

      2. Angle of Slots – to compensate for angle to tuning machines

      3. Slot adjustments – how the string lays on the nut versus in the nut

      4. (If necessary) Build up of the nut slots with re-filing to proper heights

2. Saddle adjustment

   1. Height

   2. Curvature - to match fingerboard

   3. Intonation adjustments for each individual string

3. Fret level

   1. Check relief of frets to neck

   2. Neck curvature

   3. File frets as required

4. Fret dressing

                                                               i.      Clean & Polish frets

                                                             ii.      Clean fret edges – crown edges

5. Fingerboard

   1. Clean

   2. Polish

   3. Recondition

6. Tuning Machines

   1. Tightening

   2. Cleaning bits of metal out of gears

   3. Oiling

   4. Adjustment

6. Truss Rod adjustment (if available – acoustic or classical guitar)

7. Replace strings to your specification or our recommendation

2. Repair Work for Classical and Acoustic Guitars

   1. Shaving fret ends - grinding and filing frets due to neck wood shrinking

   2. Loose frets

   3. Fret replacement

   4. Nut repair or Nut Replacement

   5. Saddle repair or Saddle Replacement

   6. Bridge Replacement

   7. Strap peg repair

   8. Finish repairs including lacquer and French Polish (shellac)

   9. We also offer the following:

      1. Complete Surface repair, blending and finish of your instrument.

      2. We will take the instrument down to the stain, and re-finish in your choice of lacquer or French Polish shellac.

      3. Lacquer can be done in High Gloss (5 coats rubbed) or Semi Gloss

      4. French Polish is recommended, allowing the guitar to sing to maximum capability while maintaining protection that is beautiful, though requiring care.

All repair and setup work is authorized by the customer. 

We will inform you of our recommendations with detailed explanation. 

Remember that our setups can be customized to your needs.

All work is done IN House.  I do not send it out.
