Miguel González began in the construction of guitars in 1935, not existing in those days in Almeria any craftsman dedicated to this profession of worship. For this reason the best guitarists of that time passed by his workshop, but that soon came to an end as his reputation for superior builds became renowned across Spain and the European continent.

Miguel González was a contemporary of Hermanos Moya, a guitar-maker from Almería who learned the work from Antonio de Torres, allowing his indisputable mastery to lay the basis of a solid guitar tradition in Almería.

The conductive thread of this tradition it is gathered by his son, Juan Miguel González, who began from very young in this craftsmen’s careful trade in the workshop of his father, getting in the exciting world of the construction of the Spanish Guitar and extending the handcrafted legacy of his father and those before him. His work combines masterful craftsmanship, innovation, technology, research, dedication and care; using the noblest of materials and woods specially selected, refined and known for their high acoustic sound level.

In 2004 Juan Miguel González shaped an experimental guitar based on the results of his last studies and research, as much in the materials used as in the assembly of the guitar, allowing him to develop a new evolutionary system in the area of the fan and in the disposition of the ribs of the guitar. It is a new prototype that allows a well-known and understandable evolution regarding the aesthetics, sonority and resonance that allows for incredible levels of musical execution. His guitars are lightweight, comfortable, and player friendly, a perfect partner with the guitarist, whether aspiring or virtuoso.
