The guitar was re-topped and refinished by Kenny in 2018 – beautiful work and the guitar is stellar, in appearance and sound, play and feel.  It is a DT Double Top with Cedar top and Spruce underside.  The bracing is traditional Fan-bracing.  The CSA is superb.  This is within the first generation of Kenny’s Signature model, achieving  the warmth we love, yet the traditional sound with the power of the double top.  You will notice it also has NO ports.  Again, very warm, beautiful projection, easily played.  Win win win

This is a really beautiful looking and sounding guitar that is easily played.

Media

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. MP3 Audio – 211122-2003 Kenny Hill Signature 2081 Cedar CSA – wow, such an interesting comparison to the post 2010 models.  This one comes off almost traditional sounding, very warm and round sounding, easy to play, a guitar you can easily get lost with during the day.  I found myself listening more than concentrating on playing, because it was so endearing.  Beautiful guitar in most excellent condition.
