Comments:
A truly beautiful example of Jim’s work, another one that I’m happy to list on my site. A good solid tone emanates from the instrument, with power and projection and a musical ability that is not always present in Australian builds. I find Jim’s guitars musical most of the time, where this one is the equivalent of anything I’ve heard previously from him.
She is a typically heavy Australian build, lattice braced, laminated cello-ed back, pretty back and sides, as in yes sir!
There are no issues, or any evidence of play wear on this guitar. There looks to be a tiny nail tick, treble side of the rosette, I mean tiny. I didn’t see it at first, except in the light at a particular angle. I’m not certain it will show in the photos. OK, I took a darker shot to illustrate the nail tick. You should be able to see it clearly.
I polished and buffed her a touch, where she’s gleaming. Essentially brand new looking at a good discount.
The Brazilian Rosewood or CSA RW, as it commonly referred, without paperwork to verify harvesting, precludes this guitar from being shipped out of the United States. Don’t ask, please. If it were to be shipped Internationally, the risk of confiscation will be solely in your hands. We cannot and will not take responsibility for the guitar being confiscated.
There is zero issue with shipping this guitar within the confines of the United States.
The guitar is a cannon. No doubt, with musical nuance and expression. A literal joy to play.
Setup professionally, I found the guitar to play quite easily, driving her as I wish. Brand new, $15K, we are asking $12K. Thanks and don’t hesitate. Rich

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 Audio – 220102-2004 Jim Redgate 223 Cedar CSA RW – if you want to have fun with a guitar while playing at a concert level, this is it. Powerful with ease of play. I enjoyed this recording session quite a bit.
My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested.

Please note that as a Global Statement for my site, for Tuning machines, Accessories, and most guitars, that Shipping is NOT Free any longer. Costs have gone up dramatically. Regardless of what or where you might read on the site, shipping is not free any longer. Choose the least expensive method, if available, or Expedited if you want them quicker. My apologies. Rich
Please DO NOT Choose USPS Media Mail to ship a guitar or a Hard Shell Case – this shipping method is designed for Media, Books, CDS, DVDs, etc.
Please choose FedEx Home or Ground Delivery or any Expedited Method. The more expensive a guitar, the more likely you should choose a 1 or 2 day method. It’s pure common sense, especially when it is too hot or too cold outside.
I have added numerous options for you to choose the cost and method, including USPS Priority and Express, as well as FedEx options (we can substitute UPS for FedEx, simply indicate your preference in the Notes window at Check Out).
Thank you!
