2009 Roy McAlister #219 00 Vintage Cutaway Spruce Mahogany
Comments
Just arrived, I will write more as I become more familiar with the guitar. This is from Roy’s “Vintage” Series back in 2009. The guitar was meticulously cared for, being in Excellent Condition. She displays a very clean voice, resonant, imminently playable. Reminds me very much of a Martin Style Acoustic. Comes in an original black dreadnought HSC. A seriously nice steel string guitar.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended
MP3 Audio – 201014-2009 Roy McAlister 219 00 Vintage Cutaway Spruce Mahogany – “The Black Gum Jambo” (thematic material anyway, as it not quite finished and then “The Black Oak Harp” Richard F. Sayage – written back in 2003 at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River, NY – I was with my Mom and 2 girls when this Black Oak started swaying back and forth in the wind. It was gorgeous and this music came to me like a dream.
– the music is NOT in the book below. Rich
MP3 Audio – 201014-2009 Roy McAlister 219 00 Vintage Cutaway Spruce Mahogany_a – this is more about “The Black Gum Jambo” and a slight comparison to an older Takamine EF-360S (“lawsuit guitar”) that I acquired and setup back in the day. The less expensive Takamine is a great guitar, but you can hear how it can get away from you vs. the absolute control you have over a well built luthier guitar. The McAlister is simply tight and whole throughout her range.
My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested.

Please note that as a Global Statement for my site, for Tuning machines, Accessories, and most guitars, that Shipping is NOT Free any longer. Costs have gone up dramatically. Regardless of what or where you might read on the site, shipping is not free any longer. Choose the least expensive method, if available, or Expedited if you want them quicker. My apologies. Rich
Please DO NOT Choose USPS Media Mail to ship a guitar – choose FedEx Home or Ground Delivery or any Expedited Method. The more expensive a guitar, the more likely you should choose a 1 or 2 day method. It’s pure common sense, especially when it is too hot or too cold outside.
I have added numerous options for you to choose the cost and method, including USPS Priority and Express, as well as FedEx options (we can substitute UPS for FedEx, simply indicate your preference in the Notes window at Check Out).
Thank you!
