Comments
This magnificent example by Fritz exceeds expectations, except for the part where it is Fritz building a guitar for you. He’s ridiculously good at what he does, from innovation, to sound, to play, to musical expression. A true master luthier.
The guitar itself is wildly resonant and wholly musical. Workmanship is stellar. Tuned to F# in the main body and G# toward the butt of the guitar. This allows for a super clean voicing along any and all playing lines.
The moment I saw her this morning, a whoosh of air from my chest. One pluck of the low E told me everything I need to know. Then, typical inspection. The neck is bolted on and easily adjusted with 3 torque screws. Action, by the way, is 4mm on the low E, 3.4mm on the high E. Beveled neck, relieved properly, she rings purely. Internal bracing shows excellent and clean work, 7 fans to the traditional side, with carving to allow the braces to flow easily under the sound bars. The neck is hollowed, which I believe adds to the overall resonance. The neck also has a noticeable radius, making play that much more accessible. She’s also an unusual 648mm string length, making it okay for someone in the 8.5″ finger span, as I discuss this on my Player pages for the smaller scaled people. Ported, back panel access door, Sloanes, the guitar is simply a rip to play.
Modest and honest play wear on the top, a few rasqueado marks from, let’s say, exuberant play (can’t even blame the owner, the guitar makes you want to go hard), the Cocobolo back and sides are cool, no issues. A guitar like this from Fritz new, would go for $14-15K easily, just saying! LOL
The room was filled with the sound of the guitar and her play is totally accessible, almost effortless. Fritz is a true master, building power, with music, grace and elegance.
You are welcome to personally come to the gallery to pick the guitar up.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 Audio – 210227-2010 Fritz Mueller 264 Cedar Cocobolo DT– uh, OK? LOL…this is that guitar that makes you laugh out loud, or go quiet with how beautiful and expressive it is, which of course, it made me do both. The ease of play is ridiculous, probably due to the radiused fingerboard.

Regardless of what or where you might read on the site, shipping is not free any longer. Choose the least expensive method, if available, or Expedited if you want them quicker. My apologies. Rich
Please DO NOT Choose USPS Media Mail to ship a guitar or a Hard Shell Case – this shipping method is designed for Media, Books, CDS, DVDs, etc.
