2012 Karolos Tsakirian Concert Spruce EIRW

Comments: Karolos contacted me back in October of 2014, letting me know he would be in town.  Making the trek from Athens, Greece to Bay Shore, NY?  Apparently, he really wanted me to represent his work here in the states.  I was happy to oblige.  You can tell right away that he’s a man of the earth, used to using his hands.  A Greek musical specialist, especially in the traditional bouzouki instruments, I had an idea his guitars would be seriously nice.  I’m rarely incorrect when it comes to this business (though it does happen occasionally 🙂

Well, sure enough, this Spruce w/EIRW is a special guitar.  Elegant lines, not overly done, her shine is in the voice and bold directness of the guitar.  Make a mistake, and she’ll wallop you for it.  But, get the lines right and she’ll make sweet music for you, without a doubt.  There is everything to like about this guitar, and don’t get me started on the other one he brought me, with old school Brazilian RW.  Even bolder, with a sweet voice on both of them.

Both guitars, this and the Brazilian, are studio demos, meaning that Karolos used them to display his work to various artists, etc.   He brought them to me because they were played, warmer, and settled.  As a result, they have minor finish issues, but nothing of serious consequence.  This Spruce EIRW has a ding in the treble side of the top by the middle front.  It has other small nail marks and finish issues, but nothing serious.  The price is discounted to reflect the finish issues.  Thanks…Rich
