2013 Anders Sterner Spruce CSA

This is a gorgeous guitar built by Anders back in 2013, using the best materials, with the benefit of his vast experience.

She has nominal play wear, which is very hard to see never mind photograph.  There is one small string ding behind the treble E string.  The back and sides are excellent.

Anders Sterner was trained by Jeffrey Elliot, considered one of the superior American builders.  This guitar employs Anders’ refinement of Elliot’s design, with seven fan braces in the Hauser stule with open harmonic bars.  As per the builder, the workmanship and attention to detail are superb.

I prefer to sell this guitar domestically, within US Borders.

I discourage International buyers, unless you are willing to come here yourself and take delivery personally.  CITES paperwork is NOT available for this guitar, thus it is ineligible. Rich

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. Rich

MP3 Audio – 190216-2013 Anders Sterner Spruce CSA – I promised the seller that I would record it again, when I felt better.  Not a problem with the new mic setup and the guitar is so much fun to listen to and play.  I mess around with a Bach Flute Partita and some ideas from new sketches, some old as well.  Great guitar with powerful voice and expression, sensitive to the lightest touch or fortissimo!

MP3 Audio – 181203-2013 Anders Sterner Spruce CSA – fun guitar to play, very vibrant and resonant, setup as low as possible while ringing clearly.  A little of Sketch #1, Sam’s Lullaby and Sketch #5 while exploring various ranges of the guitar.

Richard F. Sayage – Solo Guitar Works Volume 1

Matt Lampel came by for a visit on Saturday January 5, 2019 where we took the opportunity to do some video work.

Here he’s playing a 2013 Anders Sterner Spruce CSA a fabulous guitar that demands excellence from the player. It’s clear voicing, power and projection demand it.

Matt is performing Scarlatti “Sonata K175 in A Minor”

Matt Lampel is a student of Dr. Douglas Rubio of the The Crane School, with a very bright future ahead of him.
