2013 Manuel Adalid Custom Shop Spruce Cocobolo

This guitar is one of the first few gems from Manuel’s personal Alboraya-Adalid shop, built personally by Manuel Adalid.  This guitar is one of a kind.  She is a beautiful guitar in appearance and certainly in sound.  I was playing her earlier, where Dan was prompted to ask what I was playing, saying it was incredibly loud.  Agreed.  The guitar was explosive, very responsive, with excellent pushback on the strings.  A clear percussive voice that has little problem sustaining.  The guitar is super responsive, quick, with a beautiful round voice.

The guitar was built and finished in late 2013.  Built with a beautiful and rich looking set of Cocobolo RW – the guitar has a ton of power.  Golpes are attached on both the treble and bass sides.  Her action is very low, making her very easy to play.

She has the slightest play wear on the back from a dealer demo, where the guitar is discounted $1000 to reflect any possible and very tiny issues.  Excellent deal on a superb classical guitar built personally by Manuel Adalid himself!

The price includes a Hiscox Lite Flite HSC and Express Shipping to the 50US – as of the end of this year, 2019, CITES will not be a further issue with shipping overseas, as they have lowered the restrictions on Rosewoods across the board, with a mass of 10Kg or less (Brazilian RW or CSA is still highly restricted, as it should be).

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich

MP3 Audio190924-2013 Manuel Adalid Custom Shop Spruce Cocobolo – the guitar is a lot of fun to play, easy, accessible, heck, maybe even a touch too low, but someone is going to find this a gem.  I found her to have tons of color, apoyando was responsive, volume was great, warmth was apparent.  I just tool around on her, play some Sor (badly) and my latest original piece.  I enjoyed it tremendously.

My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested.
