Comments
This guitar is among the most hysterically fun steel strings I’ve ever played with 14 frets to the body, making it a pleasure to hold and play.
Modeled after the Gibson L-1 the guitar that Robert Johnson played and was so well-known for, David Flammang nailed it, even down to the tuning machines. The punch, tone, overall affect is ridiculously good.
The guitar is in superb shape, 1 owner, bought directly from David Flammang in 2014, one who prides himself on excellent care for his guitars.
Photography was especially difficult with this guitar. Humidifiers are now on, causing dust to be present at all times. Like Thanos, it is inevitable. The guitar is quite clean, play wear, etc. Most everything you will see is dust.
Please bear in mind that I am meticulous in how I do all of this. We blow the guitars down with a special tool for that purpose, wipe them down in between every shot, etc. Still, it manages to fall, where this guitar, its finish, is crazy in this regard. Additionally, I intentionally shot the back at more open aperture settings to get the grain into the shots, thus a bit of washout here and there (I hope?), where the background is lighter as well. I’m simply attempting to be as transparent as possible in its presentation, as I always attempt to be in all of my listings. So, bear with me on this photo shoot. Thanks…Rich

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 Audio – Coming Soon! – the guitar is a blast to play with that old Gibson feel and sound in a superbly crafted hand built instrument by a great luthier, David Flammang. Effortless articulation, play, nuanced and loud as all get out. Crikey! So much fun.
My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested.
