Comments

Just arrived, this guitar built by Jim Frieson out of Japan, is another superb example of the beauty and warmth of Western Redwood used as a top soundboard!  The Madagascar Rosewood is stunning to look at giving this guitar a wholesome, pretty, full bodied voice, a touch darker, while exhibiting excellent power as well, and being easy to play.  Excellent work by the master luthier from Canada/Japan.  The power and voice made my eyes arch when playing her.   I was pleasantly surprised at how easily she plays, her warmth, clarity and projection.  The guitar is strung with Savage Classical Guitar high tension strings.

The guitar is built with 7 brace fan, symmetrical, allowing for balance throughout her ranges.

The guitar is actually in better than very good condition.  I took shots of the front for your convenience.  You can see a small ding in the lower, treble bout.  Small scratches on the back, where I lightened the photo to see it easier, but it is almost impossible to see.

Media

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. Rich

MP3 Audio – Coming Soon! – warm, dark and beautiful, with lilting highs that ring out above the voice, while the basses whoosh and blossom.
