Peter’s comments on the guitar:

• The label bears the stamp ‘pdo’, is numbered #132, 2014, and ‘Koa Special’
• The headstock has been relief-carved through the CSA Rosewood head veneer to the Ebony veneer, and the Ebony veneer has been stippled.
• There is one mother of pearl position marker at the 7^th fret.
• The tie-block surround is mitered bone and white/black veneer.
• The guitar has a characteristic smell of Alaska Yellow Cedar, the guitar smells awesome!
• There are two elliptical sound holes in the upper bout sides on either side of the neck.

Guitar has arrived, where I put it through a full internal and external inspection.  First, she’s gorgeous.  Meticulous workmanship, it’s very clear that Peter takes much pride in his work.  Playing her at first, she was a touch bright.  Five minutes later, she started to ooze warmth and then power.  Ten minutes later and I was holding a monster, with clarity and power that would make any one envious, luthier or player.  This is a superb guitar on every level.  I believe this guitar to be an exceptional value.  Recording with her will be a pleasure.

The guitar has had one owner, who has brought it back to me for sale, as the body is a bit too large for his slighter frame.  She has some nominal (hard to see) finger wear on the top, and 2 small string dings behind the bridge.  Other than that, she is excellent, where her sound has mellowed over the 2 years, giving us a powerful and expressive instrument.  New photography will be done to clearly illustrate the wear on the guitar.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
