Max builds a superb classical guitar. My last one was a Cedar (see photos – from the archive). This new classical guitar is a Spruce with asymmetrical bracing, as per Max. The Honduran Rosewood is spectacular. Beautiful woods, thoughtful and careful build, excellent workmanship all work out to a clear, bright and beautiful guitar that plays and sings. The bracing is based off the work of Miguel Rodriguez Jr.
The case is a slim line CrossRock Black HSC. Very nice.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich

I just opened her up after letting her sit in the studio acclimating to the humidity and environment. The guitar is clearly brand new, but wow, she sounds old already. Clean bright lines, voices, and separation. Love this guitar.
