Camillo Perrella Classical Guitar
Comments:
Since 1981, Camillo Perrella has been designing and producing guitars of the highest quality. They are musical instruments with a unique timbre and a deep powerful sound. Without giving up the traditional and strictly made-by-hand approach, Camillo always brings personality and innovation to each creation. This is the result of an accurate research of the nature of sound, whose purity harmoniously matches the beauty of the guitars’ lines. Their elegant design and comfort in every day use are the answer to the approach of modern guitar players.
I met Camillo in Rome, March of 2018, immediately impressed with his craft, innovation and workmanship. The guitars were highly musical, where I knew I had to have his work in the shop asap. Now we’re right there, with his first instrument for SCG en route in a week or so. Specs are below. Videos by Flavio Sala (a monster good player) are also included.
So clearly the guitar is here. What a monster. The armrest is not an armrest, but a complete body rest, allowing the guitar to ring freely within its confines. In other words, there is no body inhibition of the guitar. It feels a touch bigger initially, but I became used to it immediately.
She needed to wake up and then, whammo, she done woke up! What a voice, with supreme power, expression and sensitive to the lightest touch.
Please read more about Camillo Perrella here as we are honored to represent this fine luthier here in the United States and to the rest of the world

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 – 190220-2018 Camillo Perrella Spruce Ziricote – yeah, so no wonder the great Flavio Sala plays a Perrella. I played the guitar for a half hour each day for the last 2 days, waiting for her to wake up. She did! Hehehe, great guitar with everything you could want. Camillo is fantastic. I am going to take shots of the interior of the guitar so you can see what’s going on. The recording speaks for itself. Chops are getting better, but still miles to go, I get it. LOL The guitar has already arrived and she would like to be played, please! <big smiles> Rich
MP3 Audio – 190903-Colin-Perrella – Colin Fullerton was testing this guitar, where I threw the recorder on just because it sounded so good. He’s just tooling around with a few things, nothing concrete. Guitar sounds beautiful.

Video
Nick Cutroneo stopped by for a concert and we took the opportunity to shoot a few videos with him.
Here he’s using a Camillo Perrella classical guitar. Camillo hails from Bojano, Italy, building a beautiful guitar with a separated body from its actual body. Thus, the guitar can float without inhibition from the player. A seriously deep and lovely sound comes from this gorgeous guitar.
Nick is playing “Sonata Giocosa-Andante Moderato” by Joaqim Rodrigo for this shoot.
Flavio Sala performing on the guitar listed. Hold on, baby! LOL
