Comments:
Samo Sali of Slovenia and I have been corresponding for a few months now, where I was anxious to receive one of his guitars for evaluation. I was not disappointed. The guitar is superb with excellent voice, power and sustain. I will write more when I record with the guitar.
Samo is a Doctor of Mechanical Engineering and is a Member of the Advisory Board of Savart Journal regarding the Science and Technology of Stringed Musical Instruments.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 Audio – 180623-2018 Samo Sali Cedar EIRW DT #172 – super powerful, cello like in its bloom, growl and voice in the mids and the lows. The highs are crystal, capable of a light touch to a piercing tone. Very nice.
There is another MP3 below, recorded by Keiran Franzone, for a video that was shot on August 13, 2018
My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested.

Video
We have a video in production with Keiran Franzone of Fredonia University. Updates shortly. Here he’s playing Carulli – La Praise de Algier with Samo’s guitar. This is an uncut MP3 with zero edits.
