Fabio Zontini is among the many and talented Italian luthiers that have agreed to work with me. This latest guitar he has sent is another in a line of spectacular guitars. This is one of his Torres Models, as an homage to the great builder of the 19th Century, clearly a work of art as can be seen in the photos.
She is superbly and clearly voiced, with excellent projection, bold and direct, with lyrical qualities that many wish they had available and workmanship that is to be admired. He builds in the traditional sense with a 7 fan bracing system using all wood. The Marbled Walnut is a spectacular choice, lending a warm and luscious sound to the musicality of this guitar!
It is an honor to have his guitars here in our gallery. The guitar is simply superb. Fabio specializes in historical instruments, (as do many of the great Italian Luthiers) from Hauser to Torres, Simplicio, Lacote, Panormo, Terzina, as well as Baroque Instruments and Lutes. His work is simply to die for as you can see for yourself, and more importantly, hear clearly. Such a wonderful man and phenomenal builder.

Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. MP3 Audio – Coming Soon! – effortless music made with this guitar. She is so smooth, with blooming basses balanced by a growl in the mids when pushed to those singing highs. Clarity of voice is another bonus. A spectacular guitar by Fabio. It’s an honor to represent him here in the USA. Luthiers like him make me love my job.
