Description
Book: | Bach Two Part Inventions for Solo Classical Guitar |
Description: | Bach’s Two Part Keyboard Inventions arranged for the solo classical guitarist. The player will find these arrangements to fit nicely into the hands, |
while remaining true to the nature of the music, given the obvious compromise in range regarding keyboard to guitar.
Each of the 15 pieces are laid out in a commonsensical 2 page manner where page turns per piece are not a consideration.
Here I need to make some points that are important to me:
First and foremost, my original book, released in 2002, was the first of its kind for the classical guitarist. I have seen descriptions of “other”inferior books that have subsequently come out saying that the 15 Two Part Inventions are Fugues? They are not completely fugal in nature, but that is a longer discussion, one I am happy to continue at a later time, when I actually have time to write a small treatise on the subject matter.
Suffice to say that only an ignorant publisher would allow such misinformation to be spread. Quite frankly, I have seen these other books, having a good laugh on one side, but, on the other side, feeling that these other publishers felt compelled to “compete” with a superior book, with the end result of releasing inferior publications that have wasted the time and money of good people.
That is never anything to smile about.
