What a monster. And it’s a 640mm scale length? I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise. The 630 scale is also super powerful. She’s sweet sounding, easy playing, powerful in her voice and projection, with superb separation. Playing thru some Bach Violin Partitas this evening, I was smiling pretty big when I put her down. That’s pretty much everything that needs to be said.
To contrast the Performance with the Signature, the most significant difference is the Signature’s elevated fingerboard, while the Performance has a traditional fingerboard.
The Signature has laminated cypress layered within the Solid East Indian Rosewood, while the Performance is solid wood sides without the laminate;
The Signature has V joint for the head, the performance has a traditional scarf joint;
The tuners on the Performance are Gotoh, rather than the Sloane tuners on the Signature.
The Performance Series Classical Guitar has a simpler binding and purfling scheme with contrasting mahogany bindings which set off the outline of the instrument in a striking and beautiful way.
Both guitars feature a marker dot at the seventh fret. The Performance has a 20th fret extension standard.
Quick attack, buttery feel, creamy sound, loud as all get out. Please…these guitars are awesome!
