Comments
My own personal models have just arrived after years, and then recently, months of planning and discussions. A culmination of my own expertise, experience and what I love most about classical guitars, their sound, feel and expressiveness. I have these guitars built by Manuel Adalid in Valencia Spain. Built in the Madrid Style, traditional in all regards, focused, balanced, powerful and full-voiced, these guitars are quite valuable as compared to their listed price. All solid woods, built to Manuel’s highest standard, all guitars go thru me and my final setup. I have refined the bracing style as well as the headstock and rosette/purflings to match what I love in a classical guitar. Refined, elegant and a touch of wildness.
This is the 2nd iteration of my personal model. The refinement to a great classical guitar are a thing of happiness for me and my ability to offer you a superior guitar at an accessible price point. The Rosewoods are deep and rich while the Western Red Cedar tops are gorgeous.
This listing is for the 650mm scale length version only.
The 640mm version is available here.
My Savage Classical Guitar Model 5 will be discontinued, as I feel it better to offer 1 distinct model, in 640mm and 650mm, built to my standards. Simply, a great Spanish guitar in the Madrid style, for a price less than $3K, built directly in Spain by Spanish Luthiers! As in, yes sir!
All guitars will come with a Humicase Protege or similar HSC

Media
Photos and media will all be updated upon receipt of the new guitars from Esteve/Adalid
Please note that photos can be enlarged. Right click any photo in the larger window, select “Open Image in New TAB” (if you’re using Chrome. Any other browser has similar options). Look at the other TAB and you will be able to enlarge via the magnifying glass. Simply click the image and she will double in size for your convenience.
Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks. Rich
MP3 Audio – 160825-scg-10-cedar – an off the cuff recording – I play some of Valerie’s Air and discuss the guitar at some length. She’s really nice – Ramirez 1A type of feel and sound but with a 650mm scale length. Very nice – the book is available here if you’re interested
Please NOTE that photos of all “production guitars” are stock photos, taken randomly for our numerous selection of guitars, whether they be from Kenny Hill – Esteve – Adalid or others. It is virtually impossible and arduous to photograph each of our available production guitars. I am, however, happy to take a few photos for you of any particular guitar with which your are interested.
Also, measurements of string spacing and nut width are also approximate, as they can be “slightly” different from guitar to guitar. They may be factory made (meaning down the line factory) but humans are still doing much of this work and it is NOT an exact science.
Handcrafted instruments are photographed and listed individually, usually identified by a serial number, date and or some other combination.

Regardless of what or where you might read on the site, shipping is not free any longer. Choose the least expensive method, if available, or Expedited if you want them quicker. My apologies. Rich
Please DO NOT Choose USPS Media Mail to ship a guitar or a Hard Shell Case – this shipping method is designed for Media, Books, CDS, DVDs, etc.
